Frequently Asked Questions.

If you have any questions or just want to know a little more you can find the answers to some of the most commonly asked questions here.

Each session is 50 minutes long. This is viewed as the optimal therapeutic time for clients.

I offer short term therapy, with a pre-planned end date, consisting of weekly sessions for 6, 8 or 12 weeks. I also offer longer term therapy with no pre-planned end date.

Longer term therapy is reviewed every six weeks, to ensure that it is still of benefit to clients.

No two counselling sessions are the same but in general I will provide a safe space for you to explore your issues as you see them. I am highly trained in listening skills and will support you in reflecting upon your experiences. As your therapy progresses, I will help you to identify goals you wish to work towards and set plans as to how the goals will be met.

CBT and CBTi are structured and consist of practical tasks for you to undertake between sessions.

Brentwood train station and a bus stop are only two minutes walk away. In addition, there are lots of paid car parking facilities nearby.

I will undertake an initial assessment with you. This will most likely be carried out over the phone and is free.

I charge £50 for face to face sessions at the practice, before 4pm and £55 for sessions after 4pm.

I charge £50 for subsequent sessions before 4pm and £55 for sessions after 4pm. Each session lasts 50 minutes.

For CBT and CBTi, payment can be made for the full course of sessions. There is a 10% discount for full course payments.
